PEP therapy recruits the airways by applying positive pressure during inspiration and expiration. This increases the resistance to exhalation, opening and stabilising the airways.
Oscillation therapy aims to loosen the mucus in the airways and thus make it easier to clear. Thanks to two turbines, the oscillation is strong enough to reach deeper-lying secretions as well.
An integrated Aerogen Solo mesh nebuliser delivers medication to treat secretion retention directly into the device's tubing. The medication can further widen the airways and improve the consistency of the secretions for clearance.
